Beth Rousseau, LMHCA, MT-BC

Since 2004, I have helped new parents (and others) view themselves with compassion. In our sessions, we draw from approaches like mindfulness, somatic experiencing, psychotherapy, and music therapy, in order to advance the healing process. I find this eclectic approach especially helpful for clients who are neurodiverse, LGBTQ+, or victims of childhood abuse or neglect.

I specialize perinatal and postpartum mental health concerns, including trauma related to childbirth and NICU experiences. My personal experience with the adjustment to motherhood has made me passionate about the well-being of young families. I pioneered the research-based "Mama Baby Music" group model, where caregivers learn to connect meaningfully with their newborn through interactive songs and games. Studies have shown this supports both healthy infant attachment and parental postpartum mental health.
